Nvidia GeForce Now Gets RTX 5080 Upgrade on September 10
Nvidia has confirmed that its GeForce Now cloud gaming service will receive the RTX 5080 upgrade on September 10, 2025. Subscribers will gain access to the power of an RTX 5080 in the cloud, featuring 48GB of memory and DLSS 4 support for smoother gameplay and enhanced graphics.
High-Performance Gaming Specs
With the RTX 5080 upgrade, GeForce Now will support:
- 5K resolutions at 60fps and 120fps
- 1440p at 240fps and 1080p at 360fps
- Full ray-tracing using Neural Rendering and Multi Frame Generation
All of this comes at the existing $19.99/month subscription for GeForce Now Ultimate.
17 New Games Joining GeForce Now
Alongside the RTX 5080 rollout, Nvidia is adding 17 new games to GeForce Now this month. Some highlights include:
- Hollow Knight: Silksong – available immediately
- Borderlands 4
- Dying Light: The Beast
- Jump Space
- Endless Legend 2
- Cloverpit
Blackwell RTX Era Begins
Nvidia calls the upgrade the Blackwell RTX era, with special weekly announcements beginning a day earlier to celebrate the launch. This marks a significant step in enhancing cloud gaming experiences for both casual and competitive players.
Install-to-Play Feature Returns
Nvidia is also reintroducing the “Install-to-Play” feature, allowing users to install games on GeForce Now without waiting for formal curation. This addition greatly expands the playable library and offers gamers more flexibility and faster access to their favorite titles.
With the combination of RTX 5080 performance, high-resolution support, ray tracing, and new games, GeForce Now is set to deliver a major boost in cloud gaming for September 2025.
